I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful grandchild. Leo is smiling the whole day and he is my Prince of Heart :)

And my daughter HC is a grown up women! I'm lucky to be her mum! She has become a beautiful and a kind lady! She is the Queen of my Heart:)

This cave is called Grønligrotta and the waterfalls down there is just beautiful. My tripod was broken so I only had my own hands to help me out, but I just had to try;)

This weeken I have been out in the cold for 3 phototrips. I like it and I have had a lot of fun:) Here's one photo for each day.

Happy New Year:)

First of all, we didn't go to our cabin to celebrate The new year there. The reasen was that we was so lucky that our daughter asked us to look after her son, little Leo (our grandshild). We had e wonderful evening with him<3

My first photos in 2010 was of my dear grandchild Leo. He is my Prince of Heart and my dear Rock-buddy <3 <3 <3 He likes the same music as me and I just love it lol. Always when he discover that Bon Jovi's Living in a prayer are coming out of the speakers, he clap he's hands, the whole body is shaking and he has a big big smile on his lovely face <3 He call the song Wao-wao-wao and he says this words only when he listen to this song, And the words is exactly the same "words" the song starts with lol. And of course, we enjoy it together when the rest of the family is outdoors;) lol

Tomorrow we are going to our cabin, so let us hope for plenty of snow, many photos and a lovely weekend;)

As you all know, I spend a lot of my time in my photo-club trying to learn something;) Last sunday I had to try a photoshoot with my grandchild. It was my first photoshoot alone in studio and I forgot all about shadows and everything;) Lol, but I learned a lot. I will not forget the next time;) Leo had a very nice time with me and we had a lot of fun:))))

Sorry I havent been here for a week. Seems like my walk became very long;) Last thuesday I went down to join our photoclub, Rana Cameraclub. We should try something new. High Key-photo's:) I was very fun, but not so easy as I thought;) lol

My daughter HC helpt me out. She was a very kind model for her mum (she hate to be on this site of the camera;)) But I love to take photos of her:)

What have i done in the last months?

Here are som photo that show you wath I have been doing the last months. Of cource I'm outside taken photos of the nature too;)

But here is the biggest reason why I havent been blogging. My grandson Leo who is now 8 month old. In the daytime I look after him and that's just fantastic:) He is always happy, have 6 teeth and are a big boy now;) Grandmas little rockprince;)) In this photo he and his grandpa are watching a movie, Lion King. That's fun:)
And in Rana Cameraclub I always have fun. There I'm trying out new things and I learn a lot. Here I have some fun with an old fork

Have to shoot some food too;)

Here I try to "Paint with light". All light in the room comes from 2 or 3 flashlights. That was very very fun:))))

And this is what I do right now. I try to learn to take some portait-photos and to edit them afterwords. The sweet lady is one of our models:) When I was going to edit this photo I got some help from a good friend at the club. I just photograped it;)

Some days ago I was on a trip just outside our town. The fog came and I just had to take these photos. I thought it was a lovely evening and I was nearly waithing for the Norwegian Troll's to come out of the fog;)

I'm back:) And hopefully I have some friends left here. Since last time I have been here, I have tryed to learn more about photographing. And hopefully I have done that. But there is a long way to go. But in the next days I will show you what I have been learning.

But first I have to show you this photo: For a week ago I finally was able to take a photo of our Nothern Light. The Nothern Light was shining just above my roof. It's just wonderful to look at and I love it. But it's not easy to take photo of it. It moves very fast and it get smaller or bigger many times in just one sec. But I kept trying and trying. Finally I was happy until I saw that I had forgotten the houses in the pictures. But maby I remeber it next time;)

Every year on the 1. of May there is many many hundred of bikers from Mo i Rana, Mosjøen and other places around enter our town. The cars have to stop and wait to the bikes have parked. We just love it:) It's so many nice bikes and people go around and look almost with the tears in their eyes. And the bikers are ready for some "bike-talk":) Here they come in to our town. And when we see them, we say: Now the spring has come:))
This photo (the first one) I have borrowed from my friend Erlend Kristiansen, because I was to minute to late this year when the bikes come.

It's difficult to take photos because of all the people This is one of my dreams;) A Golden Gold Wing:)

Det er ingen som med sikkerhet kjenner rasens opprinnelse, men rasen er meget gammel. Mye tyder på at den har vært med vikingene rundt om på deres tokter og kanskje også Normanerne til England. Man kan i alle fall finne typiske Dansk/Svensk gårdshunder i Gamle Danmark, helt fra Skåne til Slesvig – Holsten, ja til og med i Normandie, og det er vel å merke ikke snakk om nyere eksporter.Den nære historien ligger mer fast. Inntil 60´årene fantes den lille gårdshunden over alt på bygdene i Sør-Sverige og Danmark. Rasen hadde mange og ulike funksjoner; holdt rotter og mus vekk fra fjøs og hus, var god vakthund, holdt reven fra hønsegården og var barnas glade lekekamerat. Den ble også brukt til jakt og til å hente inn kuene fra beite. I takt med industrialiseringen stod denne lille og hardføre rasen i fare for å forsvinne. Et samarbeid mellom DDK og SKK oppstod i 1985 for å prøve å bevare rasen. Etter dette fikk den sitt eget navn: Dansk/Svensk Gårdshund. Gårdshunden er lynrask, den har et velutviklet jaktinstinkt og en god nese, og er en eminent rottejeger. Man kan godt ha et par stykker sammen – gårdshunder sloss ikke. Tidligere gikk gårdshunden fritt rundt på gården uten å stikke av – den er ikke en streifehund, men tvert i mot har den en sterk utviklet territorialsans.Gårdshunden er livlig og fortjener mye oppmerksomhet og engasjement. Den kan gå lange turer, lære dressur eller agility. Hunden er veldig lærenem og lydig, og lærer lett forskjellige kunster. Den kan hoppe veldig høyt, er stødig på beina og svært kjapp.

Den er hengiven, tillitsfull og barnekjær. I det hele tatt en hund som fortjener en plass i en aktiv familie. Da hundene er fulle av narrestreker og alltid glade, var de samtidige barnas lekekamerater. Samme egenskaper førte dem til sirkus.De elsker å få være med på det som skjer og er en god sengevarmer da den elsker å få ligge under teppet ditt i sengen.

Her i Nord-Norge er rasen forholdsvis skjelden. Fra Trondheim og opp til Kirkenes er det så vidt jeg vet under 10 Gårdshunder. Men i Sverige er den blitt meget populær. Jeg bare elsker min Gårdshund (Lucky-White Dream) og kan godt tenke meg en til. En utrolig hengiven og tillitsfull kompis som bare MÅ være med over alt:))

Bridge Between/Broer som Binder

In Bridge Between today I will show you a photo from the bridge to a new area around our city. When I was a child everything was red here. Why red? Because of the iron factory. In the winter we always had red snow. The snow was white for just a few minutes. The houses and the wood was red too.

But today it is a beautiful clean place to take a walk. The river have never been so clean and beautiful as it is now.

Well, I just love to take a walk with my dog here. And I always meet someone I know.

Broen jeg viser i dag er fra et ganske nytt turområde nesten midt i byen. Ikke i selve centrum, men rett utenfor. Området før var veldig forurenset av jernverket. Snøen om vinteren var rød. Husene var rød og skogen var rød. Men i dag ligger denne turstien som en vakker oase rett nedenfor jernverket. Ikke farlig å bade i elva lenger, grønne trær og vakre blomster. Elva er så ren som den aldri har vært før!

Og her går jeg mye. Alene med hunden og filosoferer over verden eller blandt andre hundkompiser og prater hund. Treffer alltid noen kjente her. Det er et yndet område for både oss hundfolk, trimmere, sportsfolk og skoleklasser. Bildene en vakker dag i begynnelsen av September i år.

Today my pocketcamera (Canon Ixus 500) wouldn't shoot any more photos. The screen was very pink and purple on the side and the photos was very light blue in the middle. It looks like there is a lot of grain on the photo. Hope you undertand what I try to say;)
But this is the last photo from my beloved pocketcamera. It's from today. The camera has been a very very good friend in many years. Always in my pocket. I will miss it so much!:(

Down by the fjord in our city we have a beautiful sculpture who's name is Havmannen. When he came to town we didn't like at all. But now the whole city loves him.

Here's some facts about him: Havmannen created by the English artist Antony Gormley and is Rana's sculpture in the Artscape Nordland. Sculpture was unveiled 6 May 1995 and is carved out of granite, consists of 9 different parts, is ca.11m high, and weighs about 60 tons.

Havmannen's in Ranfjord about. 15 m from the water's edge. Surface follow the tide changes, and in the water are at the highest, when the figure up to the thigh

Here is what Antony Gormley says about Havmannen: The work is made from Arctic granite. It looks out towards the horizon at the end of the fjord. It was carved in seven blocks, through the winter and early spring of 1995, and was completed in the summer.I decided to put it in the sea so that it makes a dark silhouette, and its scale is uncertain. It suggests a human presence in space, almost like a void, or a key-hole onto the space. The sculpture is a permanent inhabitant that is always and never there, and it responds to the weather: when it is wet, it turns completely black, when dry, it is a silvery grey.

Today I will show you where I live. I'm standing on one of our mountains and looking down to where I live. If you look at the photo the city Mo i Rana is to the left and I live just one cm to the right from the midle of the photo. As you can see we have wonderful mountains with lot of snow and the fjord is lovely. It only takes a few minutes with a car for me to get to the town and the fjord. The mountain I can reach in ten minutes. The forrest is all around us. I think I live in a beautiful place just one hour from the Arctic Circle in the North of Norway. This photo is taken 28. of May. A big big part in my live is my dog Lucky. He is a Danish/Swedish Farmdog (Dansk/Svensk Gårdshund). And he is 2.5 years old. We have a lot of fun together and we love each other. We are training in the dog-club 2-3 (sometimes 4) days a week. We are training just to have fun. And Lucky love it. Some of the things we are training are Agility and obedience. And I train like this. When Lucky do as I tell him, he got a bit chicken or something else he think is jummy. If he dont do as I say, I just try one more time or take a break. Training shal be fun for the dog and me. Last evening we had some fun at the dog-club. We had a race between the dogs. But just for fun. The owner of the dog started to run and after some meters the dog come running very fast behind. Lucky was the winner of all the dogs. Big or small. We have this contest ones in the month and we do it to learn to do something together with the dog:) The first photo are taken of Anne-Berit. The rest of those photos in this post are taken of my daughter Hanne Cecilie.

Bridge Between-Korgen Bridge

In Bridge Between today I will show you a bridge from the place I was born and lived until I was 7 years old. Is called Korgen Bridge. When I was a child this bridge was in the road E-6. There is only room enough for one car at the time. In the 60's and 70's two small car could pass each other. But then they maked a sidewalk and one of the cars had to wait.
Here I took my firs step and it was very exating to go over the brigde. I always wanted to stop and look down to the river. I thought it was a big big bridge. And when we went over the bridge I know that the trip was more than to go shopping.
Today when I'm driving in the area to Korgen, I have to drive over the "old" bridge. I dont like the new road or the new bridge. They have made the new main-road (E6) in the forest where I was playing with my friends.
So in my eyes the "old" bridge is a beautiful bridge and it bindes me to my childhood home:)

Today I saw the first snow high up on the mountain. I was very happy:) I just love the winter, and I'm looking forward to all the snow and to do some skiing. Here is my daughter, husband and our dog in the mountain last easter. It was a sunny day, but very cold. It was 23 degrees celsius below zero, but we had a lovely time:) So this is my world up here in the North of Norway in the winter-time:)

Gøy å være på fotokurs:) Var på et 3-timers speilrefleks-kurs for en liten stund siden. Lærte meg hva de enkelte knappene betydde og stille inn ditt og datt. Men helt hva jeg gjør når jeg knipser er jeg ikke så sikker på. Her er et bilde jeg tok på kurset. Min mening var at læreren skulle være litt uklar, mens gutten skulle være tydelig. Syns det ble ganske bra, men det er en lang vei igjen. Men jeg er på tur;)
